ERS Group are your specialists in Entertainment Industry technology and applications.
ERS Group (Aus) was founded in 2016 as Entertainment Rigging Solutions.
The company was formed with a simple ethos; quality service provision using modern methods to simplify process and promote safety in the entertainment industry. Since its inception ERS has built a culture of quality and continuous improvement into every facet of the business from project and rigging management to asset rental.
At ERS we believe that properly engineered solutions are the way forward. We understand that riggers are not engineers, rather, they are those who must assemble an event based around an engineering specification. We take great pride in the tools we have developed to collaborate with engineers and other industry professionals. These tools help us to break down the barriers that, unfortunately, exist in the entertainment industry between riggers and engineers. This allows ERS to deliver seamless engineered solutions to our clients with their needs at the forefront of design.
In 2017 ERS took its first steps into manufacturing by producing a number of prototypes. This led to a range of custom low-voltage control solutions. Each project has built our experience and pushed us to develop solutions with higher degrees of integration and safety. The new intelligence has seen ERS expand our offering to service a diverse makeup of clients who work in all facets of entertainment.
ERS Rigging Mission Statements:
In September 2020 ERS Group (Aus) developed a COVID record keeping process, TrackERS. We felt TrackERS was too good not to share. So in the age of pivot ERS has adapted to help other businesses keep trading with focus on providing for their customers rather than spending their energy navigating the complexities of compliance. To give back to our industry, that was struggling with COVID restrictions ERS partnered with Support Act to give back 20% of the service price to the Support Act roadies fund.
Michael founded ERS in 2016 when he identified a gap in the market for wireless and wired load cell rental in Australia. Having built rigging experience across concert touring, theatre, TV & film Michael went on to build a niche rental stock, and manage the rigging of major projects, in particular the E-Sports events IEM, MEO.
In 2017 Michael was successfully appointed to the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games Organising Committee as a specialist rigging consultant. As part of the Venue Delivery and Overlay team Michael oversaw the implementation of rigging in 12 Commonwealth Games venues. He managed the rigging contractor and other stakeholders while ensuring all deadlines were met and the highest safety standards were upheld. Michael has also worked as an account manager with a national vendor hire company managing rigging and technical AV accounts for many large exhibitions, custom builds, product launches and major events including The Presidents Cup in 2019.
Michael holds tertiary qualifications in business, technical production, PRINCE2 project management and all relevant high risk work licenses.
