Michael founded ERS in 2016 when he identified a gap in the market for wireless and wired load cell rental in Australia. Having built rigging experience across concert touring, theatre, TV & film Michael went on to build a niche rental stock, and manage the rigging of major projects, in particular the E-Sports events IEM, MEO.
In 2017 Michael was successfully appointed to the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games Organising Committee as a specialist rigging consultant. As part of the Venue Delivery and Overlay team Michael oversaw the implementation of rigging in 12 Commonwealth Games venues. He managed the rigging contractor and other stakeholders while ensuring all deadlines were met and the highest safety standards were upheld. Michael has also worked as an account manager with a national vendor hire company managing rigging and technical AV accounts for many large exhibitions, custom builds, product launches and major events including The Presidents Cup in 2019.
Michael holds tertiary qualifications in business, technical production, PRINCE2 project management and all relevant high risk work licenses.

David joined ERS in early 2017, having returned to Australia following the conclusion of a number of key contracts in the Europe and Asia-Pacific regions. David has spent the past 10 years working in all facets of the entertainment industry. Specialising first in lighting, he soon qualified as a rigger, moving into the automation side quickly. David worked from here in Melbourne, through the Middle East, the USA and Europe. He has built large custom automated rigging installations in London, worked as a Technical Director for both Disney and Fox Studios on two theme parks, working with the engineers and contractors to achieve completed project scope.
Upon his return to Australia, he saw the need for change in the rigging industry, so he joined forces with ERS to see the start of new works and specialisations in the company.
